Here are the basic requirements for entering Chile but if you're in any doubt then its better being safe than sorry and give you embassy a quick call to double check.

• Americans have 90 days with no visa required but there is a $131 fee and you will need to use your passport for any journeys to Chile
• UK and Irish Citizens have the same situation for 90 days and no visa is required and passport is essential.
• Canadians it is the same as americans but you can expect to pay around $75
• Australians have around $53 to pay
• Citizens of South Africa and New Zealand do not require a Visa
